(More customer reviews)This is my 2nd replacement AC adapter I've had to buy for my 1000HE.
The original adapter's power cord was pinched under a couch foot. I bought the cheapest replacement I could find on amazon ($7). The power supply ran quite hot, the cords fit poorly together, and in 4 months a flaw in the insulation on the power cord caused the cord to split and expose the wiring.
Only had this adapter for a day, the quality is evident -- all the parts fit together snugly, the adapter doesn't run too hot, and has a nice, thick insulation on the power cord.
