The first adapter arrived and worked for all of one week or so. Then it simply stopped; the red indicator light would only come on occasionally, signaling the adapter was working. The outlet plug, despite two prongs of equal size, had to be plugged in a certain way. Of course, due to the prongs being of equal size there was no way to know which was the correct way to plug in except through trial and error. Very frustrating. (The vendor was very accommodating with the requested return, and was prompt with a replacement.)
The second adapter lives on after five or six months but barely so. The adapter housing has come apart, and has to be regularly snapped back together. The attachment for the laptop fits into the charging receptacle but for some reason does not always connect; much coaxing, pressing and pushing must be applied to get the cord to stay in and continuously power the laptop.
With two of the same adapters going south quickly it can be safely argued that this universal laptop adapter was unfortunately inadequate. Buyer beware.
