It looks great, adds very little bulk to the iPad, is fairly easy to install, and seems to provide more than adequate protection on the back and sides of the device. If dropped face down on a flat surface (e.g. no gravel), I'm confident it would protect the screen as well.
There are two main drawbacks to this case, the first being that it doesn't protect the screen against scratches from smaller objects. If your plan is to toss this in a briefcase, backpack, or even just carelessly somewhere in your car, this case won't protect your screen. But if you're like me and use your iPad primarily around the house (couch, bed, desk, on the John), this thing provides more than adequate protection and excellent mobility. I like the look and feel of my iPad just as much with and without this case (actually maybe even more with it!), and while it doesn't really add any new functions to my iPad (such as a stand), it also doesn't detract (much -- see below).
The other primary drawback to this case is the finicky volume control buttons and hard-to-press power button. Seeing as how they made a cutout for the mute switch, speaker and docking port, I'm not quite sure why they couldn't do the same for the remaining buttons. The volume rocker especially is a bit temperamental when you aren't gripping everything a certain way. I don't change my volume too much, and when I do, I'm used to "the method" now, but it is definitely something to be mindful of before purchasing this case.
I grabbed mine on clearance at BB for around 15, but they don't have it at that price any more. Amazon seems like a reasonable price for what I consider a very nice case overall.
