(More customer reviews)Don't let the size of the device misguide you, there is an ordinary Microsoft Windows running on this device. The Intel Atom clocks at a speed comparable to Netbooks and there is enough RAM in it to let you work in the same way that you would on your desktop PC.
This device is so small that an ordinary mouse pointer doesn't make sense any more. They have replaced the mouse device with an optical sensor at the top right of the keyboard. It is as if you had just the infrared LED of an ordinary optical mouse pointer device built into the keyboard with the upside down.
This device is also equipped with a 3G modem (HSPA/UMTS). So you are not bound to some Wifi access point any more.
Some people have reported success when installing a desktop Linux (x86) on the Viliv N5. But installation was not straightforward. They needed special device driver for the mouse pointer device (with some configuration tweaking) and the 3G modem. Search the Internet for advice on how to do this.
