We got our hands on these a few weeks back. As of now there has been quite a bit of mystery on them. My reverberating words are that it has promise. This is the Zenithink ZT-180 e-Pad - even says so in the Chinese/ English "manual" which also happens to be written for Windows CE, as was this device's OS originally. The CE version is much more developed that the Android port.
Pros:
1) It is a real product available now and does have a 10.2" touch screen
2) Fun gadget for early adapters who want a head start developing for the inevitable large-format Android devices prepping for mass consumptionCons:
1) Build quality + materials
2) Not quite finished - not a deal breaker for us as there's software updates promisedMy take:
I think the charging cable should have been Micro USB like most phones now. I think they should produce a version with a glass screen, built-in kickstand (for movies), move the speakers to anywhere but the bottom (where they are now).
The software updates are inevitable and en route already, which are expected to include the Android Market which will be a game changer. And after it's all ironed out it should also have the Google suite of apps, I would assume.
All in all I'm cool with it - for the novelty of it. For $299 it's a bit overpriced - for $249 it's fine. I'd be ok paying a premium for including GPS and dual cams - although we never use that on our EVOs but still - it'd be cool to have the option. Assuming it was running more smoothly and some hardware things noted I'd be more than ok paying 4-500 for it. Let's see how other devices such as the MSI Wind Pad 110 and Viliv x10 turn out. We've had those on backorder for several weeks.
